Officers from the Darien Police Department were dispatched to the Depot at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Friday, July 19, where there was a report of a woman sitting at a picnic table drinking alcohol.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the woman, Darien resident Cheryl Obradovich, who stated that she didn’t know that the area was a teen center. A routine check of Obradovich found that she had an active bench warrant for failing to appear in court stemming from a breach of peace incident in Stamford on July 1.
Obradovich, 52, was taken into custody on the breach of peace charge and was also charged with failure to appear in court at Darien Police Headquarters. Obradovich is currently being held on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear back in court on Monday, July 22 to respond to the charges.
